Discord began rolling out a revised age-verification system on Thursday that will try to estimate a user’s age automatically, according to Ars Technica. ExtremeTech reported that the assessment will use account activity.
Users whose ages cannot be estimated automatically will be required to verify them. The rollout also includes alternative verification tools introduced after users pushed back against Discord’s earlier approach, according to CNET and Ars Technica.
