Meta made its Muse AI agent the focus of its annual Connect event in Menlo Park on Wednesday, announcing plans to extend the service across new devices and creative tools.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Muse will be integrated into Meta’s AI glasses. The company also unveiled the Muse Charm, a keychain-sized handheld device scheduled to ship in December. Fast Company described the Charm as resembling a futuristic Tamagotchi, with Muse represented on its screen as a fuzzy, rotund beige mascot that users can name.
Meta separately announced two AI-assisted tools for creating games for its Horizon social platform. Horizon Create will allow users to build games with prompts through a mobile app, while the browser-based Horizon Studio will provide more detailed controls.
The announcements come as Muse downloads are rising, according to CNBC. Investor interest has also increased: MarketWatch reported that JPMorgan raised its price target for Meta after the Connect presentation and said Muse could become the leading AI application launched since ChatGPT. CNBC reported that Meta’s shares were approaching their first record high in a year.
