publishers 2articles 3first reported 24 Sep, 02:06 UTCdeveloping since 24 Sep · 8 editions

Israel’s election committee has barred Ra’am and the Joint List, the country’s two main Arab political lists, from participating in the October election, according to the Financial Times and Al Jazeera.

The parties denounced the decision. Their exclusion would leave Palestinian citizens of Israel without the principal parties that seek to represent them in the Knesset.
