YouTube star Ms Rachel has announced she will match rapper Macklemore’s $1 million donation to organizations supporting Palestinians, calling on other wealthy public figures to do the same. Macklemore made the pledge after being removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour following his onstage statement in support of Palestine. The incident occurred at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, where Macklemore had been scheduled to perform as the opening act. According to The Guardian World, Macklemore was fired from the tour after expressing pro-Palestine sentiments. Meanwhile, The Guardian US reported that Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the New England Patriots, attempted to silence Macklemore’s pro-Palestine advocacy by removing him from the tour, but the move backfired and amplified the rapper’s message. Ms Rachel, who has previously spoken about her 'moral obligation' to support such causes, has now taken a significant step by matching Macklemore’s donation, urging others to follow her lead.
