Call of Duty: Warzone to Add Toggle That Hides Other Players’ Crossover Skins

Call of Duty: Warzone will add an optional cosmetic toggle with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4, allowing players to replace other players’ imported character skins with standard Operator appearances on their own screens.
The setting will be disabled by default and will not change what anyone else in the match sees, according to Engadget. Enabling it also will not hide the user’s own selected skin. A player can therefore continue using a crossover or novelty character while seeing standard military-style Operators in place of customized opponents.
Warzone has accumulated character skins from across the Call of Duty franchise and outside entertainment properties, including Rambo, Beavis and Butt-Head, and the fuzzy character Wubz. The new setting offers players a way to remove those appearances from their view without preventing others from using cosmetics they have acquired.
The toggle applies to Warzone matches; no comparable option for other Call of Duty modes was described. Previously acquired cosmetics will continue to carry forward into Warzone, but players who enable the setting will see standard Operator models instead of other players’ imported skins.
