U.S. customers who bought certain iPhones between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, can now file claims under a proposed $250 million settlement over Apple’s promotion of delayed artificial intelligence features for Siri.
The class action alleged that buyers were misled into purchasing devices with the expectation that Apple Intelligence upgrades to Siri would arrive sooner. Apple agreed to the settlement without admitting wrongdoing. Final approval remains pending, with a hearing scheduled for Feb. 24, 2027, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Eligible models are the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Claimants must be the original purchasers and must certify that they expected to receive the advertised Siri Apple Intelligence feature but did not.
Claims must be submitted by Dec. 21, 2026, through SmartphoneAISettlement.com. Applicants can file without a previously issued claim ID or PIN, but must provide identifying information such as the device serial number or associated Apple Account information. An iPhone’s serial number is available under Settings, General and About. A separate form is required for each eligible device.
Payments are estimated at about $25 per qualifying device and may reach $95, depending on the number of valid claims and deductions from the settlement fund. Available payment methods include PayPal, Venmo, electronic bank transfer and paper check.
