Israeli forces said they killed a Hamas finance chief in an airstrike on Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli reports, the official had transferred more than 1 billion shekels to Hamas during the war. Reuters reported that four people were killed in strikes in Gaza.
The Israeli military also said it killed a Hamas commander who had held seven Israeli hostages in a Gaza tunnel. Separately, the IDF and Shin Bet said security forces killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, whom they identified as one of the men involved in abducting Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival on October 7. The military said Sakr was affiliated with global jihadist groups, supplied Hamas with weapons and helped plan attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.
In another incident, the IDF released footage that it said showed an armed operative using a child to move weapons into a civilian home in central Gaza. The military said it refrained from striking after detecting the child’s presence.
