Israeli officials said strikes in Gaza killed a Hamas finance chief and a commander accused of holding seven Israeli hostages in a tunnel.
Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said the finance chief was killed in an airstrike in Khan Younis. The Israeli military said the official had transferred more than 1 billion shekels to Hamas. The Israeli military also said it killed a Hamas commander who had held seven Israeli hostages in a Gaza tunnel.
