Rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday and charged with felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery, according to local police and Miami-Dade court records.
Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 6:10 a.m. Bond was listed at $6,000. Court records show that attorney Bradley Horenstein is representing him and that an arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 22.
