Sierra Nevada Raw Milk Cheese Recalled After E. Coli Outbreak

California-based Sierra Nevada Cheese Company has recalled all of its Grazier Raw Milk Cheese products in connection with an E. coli outbreak investigated by the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of the September 29 recall notice, 13 people had become ill and eight had been hospitalized, according to Fast Company. Illnesses were reported in California, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee and Utah.
Yahoo reported that two children in San Diego County were among those sickened. San Diego County issued a health warning about the recalled cheese. The FDA and CDC linked the outbreak to the raw milk cheese products, according to reports from ABC News, WKRN, Fox 13 Tampa Bay and other outlets.
