The Atlanta Braves defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, evening their best-of-five National League Division Series at one game apiece.
Atlanta, which advanced by eliminating the Philadelphia Phillies in a winner-take-all Game 3, held the Dodgers to an 0-for-8 performance with runners in scoring position. Ray Kerr and Didier Fuentes combined to allow one run over 6⅓ innings, according to The Japan Times. Fuentes came within one out of completing four perfect innings.
The Braves took an early lead on a Mauricio Dubón single, scored another run on a wild pitch by Dodgers reliever Kris Bubic and added a third on a Michael Harris II double. Harris finished 3-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring once and driving in one run.
Los Angeles scored on solo home runs by Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy but could not complete a comeback. Dodgers starter Blake Snell struggled, while Atlanta’s pitchers protected the lead through the late innings.
The series shifts to Atlanta for Game 3 on Tuesday.
