Israeli attacks continued across Gaza around the first anniversary of an October 10, 2025, ceasefire, as Palestinian officials reported new deaths and aid groups described severe damage to the territory’s health system.
Gaza’s Hamas-run civil defence service said seven people were killed in separate attacks, including six in Gaza City. It said two died in a drone strike on a car, one in an attack on a tent for displaced people, and two others—a woman and a child—when aircraft struck a residential building. Another woman was reportedly killed by shelling, while one person died southeast of Deir al-Balah.
The Israeli military said three of those targeted were operatives in armed organizations and that it was checking reports concerning the other four. Separately, health officials cited by Dawn said at least five Palestinians were killed Saturday in two Gaza City strikes. It was unclear whether those deaths overlapped with the civil defence tally.
Gaza health authorities say Israeli forces have killed more than 1,400 Palestinians since the ceasefire, while Israel says it is responding to violations and targeting Hamas members. Hamas denies rearming or planning attacks and accuses Israel of undermining the agreement.
Physicians for Human Rights Israel said Gaza still has no fully functioning hospital or MRI scanner. The group reported that intensive-care capacity had risen by only one bed, to 104, while dialysis availability had declined. Gaza’s Health Ministry says 1,570 patients, including 264 children, have died while awaiting medical evacuation.
