Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro and an updated iPad Mini on or around October 27, according to Bloomberg. The company is expected to present the devices through an online video and hold an in-person component for the press.
The new MacBook Pro models will reportedly feature touchscreen OLED displays, a lighter design and an iPhone-style Dynamic Island interface. Apple is also said to be planning MacBook Pro versions that retain the current design while adding the M6 chip introduced with the new Mac Mini.
The updated iPad Mini will reportedly move its front-facing camera to the tablet’s landscape edge and include a redesigned speaker system. MacRumors also reports that the tablet will receive an OLED display.
The late-October presentation would follow an Apple event announced for October 13, which is rumored to focus on smart-home products. Apple has not publicly confirmed the reported October 27 event or the devices expected to appear there.
