Ireland is set for several days of mild but unsettled weather before temperatures fall in the middle of the week, according to Met Éireann.
Monday will begin cloudy in most areas, with patches of rain, drizzle and mist following a very mild night. Rain is expected to persist in the north and west, while the south and east should become drier. Humid conditions will continue, with temperatures reaching as high as 20 degrees.
Tuesday will bring further dull and wet weather to the north and west, with rain moving south across the country during the day. Temperatures could reach 18 degrees, with the southeast likely to be warmest. Conditions will turn cooler after the rain clears, and overnight lows are forecast to fall to between 5 and 9 degrees.
Wednesday is expected to be cool and bright, with occasional showers and moderate to fresh breezes. Daytime temperatures are not forecast to exceed 14 degrees. Thursday should begin mainly dry with some sunshine before rain reaches the north and west later.
Toward the weekend, most areas are expected to see a mixture of cloudy and clear spells with limited rainfall. Highest daytime temperatures are forecast to remain around 13 to 15 degrees.
