Walmart on Tuesday introduced a combined Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus membership for $120 a year, offering the two subscriptions at a discount to their previous combined annual cost of $218.
The joint plan includes access to members-only prices at Sam’s Club, free delivery from Walmart and Sam’s Club, 10 cents off gasoline at 17,000 U.S. stations, rewards on eligible purchases, and a choice of a Peacock or Paramount+ streaming subscription plan.
Existing subscribers can upgrade to the bundle. Walmart+ members can pay an additional $22 annually, while Sam’s Club members can upgrade to Sam’s Club Plus for an additional $60 per year and receive Walmart+ as part of the offer.
“For $120 a year, we’re raising expectations for what a membership can deliver: more money in their pockets and more time to call their own,” Walmart President and CEO John Furner said in a statement.
The retailer is positioning the discounted package as a way to attract cost-conscious shoppers who continue to face elevated prices.
