More than 3,000 “No Kings” rallies were held across all 50 states Saturday, with organizers shifting the demonstrations’ focus toward voter participation ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, according to Common Dreams.

Events in Portland, the San Francisco Bay Area, New Hampshire and other communities urged eligible voters to make plans, learn their voting options and cast ballots early. Organizers described the nationwide effort as a “day of nonpartisan voter participation” centered on ensuring that voters are prepared to have their ballots counted.

At an Atlanta rally, Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg said political power is expressed at the ballot box and encouraged early voting. “Voting early is the first step in how we protect those rights,” she said. “A vote cast today can’t be lost to a long line or a closed polling place.”

Previous No Kings demonstrations had centered on opposition to President Donald Trump and Republican policies. Saturday’s events retained that broader theme while emphasizing turnout in next month’s elections. Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin said before the rallies that he hoped they would help produce record midterm participation. Democratic officials including Minnesota U.S. Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan and Illinois Rep. Delia Ramirez also publicly supported the demonstrations.
