Mumbai Police are investigating an October 18 firing linked to actor Tiger Shroff after arresting three suspects in Kota the following morning, The Indian Express reported.
Police allege that Mahto rode the motorcycle used in the attack and assisted two suspected shooters, Phool Singh and Rehan Rahisuddin, both 18. Investigators said Mahto, who lived alone in rented accommodation in Mumbai and worked as a Rapido motorcycle rider, had joined the Lawrence Bishnoi gang about a year earlier. The two alleged shooters arrived in Mumbai several days before the attack and stayed with him after another gang member introduced them, according to police sources.
Hours after the firing, U.S.-based gangster Anil Pandit claimed responsibility in a purported audio recording and indicated a connection to the Bishnoi gang.
Police said Mahto bought the Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle for Rs 24,500 through a friend on September 12 but did not complete its transfer. Investigators are examining his call records, including prolonged contact with someone in Delhi, and reviewing his financial transactions to identify the source of the purchase money. They are also investigating whether he changed his appearance to evade detection and whether he participated in earlier gang operations.
