Congress leader Sonia Gandhi joined Instagram on Thursday, using her first post to unveil her upcoming memoir, *Belonging: A Journey of Love*.
In a video posted from her office in New Delhi, Gandhi appeared with the book and wrote: “Hello everyone, I’m truly grateful to share this moment with you all: the first look of *Belonging: A Journey of Love*.” She described it as “a story of love, duty, loss and finding a place to belong,” adding that she looked forward to sharing it.
The memoir is being published by HarperCollins and is expected to be released on November 10, according to *The Hindu*. An earlier publication arrangement with Penguin Random House India ended following disagreements over proposed changes to the manuscript.
Gandhi’s daughter, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, was seen distributing sweets during the unveiling. Several Congress leaders welcomed Gandhi to Instagram and shared her post. By Thursday evening, her account had attracted about 145,000 followers, *The Indian Express* reported. She was following three accounts: the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
