Amazon unveiled five Alexa devices Wednesday, adding the Echo Time bedside clock and Alexa Photo Frame alongside updated Echo Dot, Echo Studio and Echo Show hardware.
The $199.99 Echo Time includes opt-in sleep sensing and a smart alarm that can wake users during a lighter sleep phase within a selected 10- to 60-minute window. It can also simulate a sunrise. A Kids version costs $209.99.
The 10-inch Alexa Photo Frame starts at $199.99 in black, while Birch and Walnut versions cost $229. Its semi-matte, anti-glare display is designed to resemble a printed photograph. The frame integrates with Amazon Photos, and Amazon says Alexa+ can select seasonally relevant, well-lit images while filtering out screenshots and receipts. Users can also attach voice notes to photos.
Amazon’s new Echo Dot costs $99 and adds an upgraded speaker, four beamforming microphones and the company’s AZ3 chip. It supports Zigbee, Thread and Matter smart-home devices and can extend compatible Eero Wi-Fi networks. A $110 Kids model includes a year of Kids+ and Sleep Studio services.
The $250 Echo Studio with Home Camera uses its camera for live home views, personalized recognition and Alexa+ visual queries. Amazon says it does not record footage. The camera also helps the speaker adjust audio for a room’s acoustics and occupants.
The new Echo Show 16 starts at $499.99 with a wall mount, while a Nanomatte display version costs $569.99. Its customizable Screen Styles include family organization, smart-home controls, Alexa widgets and a digital photo-frame mode. Amazon has opened preorders ahead of release later this year.
