Rain could disrupt Halloween weekend plans in parts of the southern and western United States, while forecasters in Ireland expect mostly dry and bright conditions.

CBS News reported that heavy rain was expected in the Southwest after at least four tornadoes touched down Thursday near Uvalde, Texas. The Weather Channel also forecast potentially wet trick-or-treating conditions in parts of the South and West. Local forecasts indicated shower chances around North Texas and returning humidity and rain in Houston, while rain showers were expected late Saturday night in the Cincinnati area.

In Ireland, Met Éireann said early patchy rain on Saturday would give way to sunny spells across much of the midlands, south and east. Rain along the Atlantic counties was forecast to become patchier, with late sunshine possible in the northwest. Damp and misty conditions could develop Saturday evening, with highs of 12 to 15 degrees Celsius.

Patchy drizzle was possible Sunday morning in Ireland, but the day was expected to remain generally dry with sunny spells. Met Éireann forecast a settled, drier-than-average first week of November as high pressure develops.
