Priyanka Chopra celebrated Karwa Chauth with husband Nick Jonas and their daughter, Malti Marie, sharing photographs of the family and her preparations on social media Thursday.
Chopra said Jonas arranged his Jonas Brothers tour schedule so he could return home for the festival. “He came home without me asking him to,” she wrote, adding that he knew how much the occasion meant to her and Malti. One photograph showed Jonas holding their daughter, who wore a red traditional outfit, while another showed the couple after the ritual.
Chopra wore a red outfit with gold detailing and shared images of a DIY mehendi design featuring Jonas and Malti’s initials. She also posted a picture of herself applying sugar syrup to the henna, a traditional practice intended to deepen its color. In another post, she posed with a decorated thali, sieve and lit diya, writing, “I’m filmy every year.”
Separately, Sunita Kapoor hosted her annual Karwa Chauth gathering at her Juhu residence. Attendees included Shilpa Shetty, Mira Rajput, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari, Akanksha Malhotra and Geeta Basra. Guests shared photographs of traditional outfits, decorated puja thalis and the festive food and ritual arrangements. The celebration was Anshula Kapoor’s first Karwa Chauth after her marriage to Rohan Thakkar earlier this year.
