Salman Khan will be the first guest on the ninth and final season of Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show *Koffee With Karan*, which begins streaming on JioHotstar’s Peacock Hub on October 14.
Promotional clips show Khan and Johar trading jokes about the show’s conclusion. Khan briefly takes the host’s chair and proposes renaming the program “Koffee With Salman,” while Johar sits on the guest couch. When Johar revisits Khan’s earlier claim that he was a virgin, the actor replies, “Control, brother, control.” Khan also jokes that Johar may have announced the final season to persuade celebrities to appear.
The show premiered on Star World in November 2004 and ran for six television seasons before moving to Disney+ Hotstar for its seventh and eighth seasons. Across 161 episodes, it became known for candid celebrity conversations, rapid-fire questions and controversies involving its guests.
Khan first appeared on the program in 2013 during its fourth season, in an episode with his father, screenwriter Salim Khan. He returned for the show’s 100th episode in Season 5 alongside his brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Season 9 marks his first appearance on the show in more than a decade.
