Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Shohei Ohtani will remain in the lineup for Wednesday’s Game 3 of the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers, despite the star’s prolonged slump and recent injuries.

“He’s close to finding something with his swing,” Roberts said, adding that Ohtani would play in Game 3. Ohtani said he is working to bring his swing mechanics back into sync and believes they are moving in the right direction.
Ohtani has already been moved to fifth in the batting order during the postseason, his lowest position since 2020. Roberts said he could bat as low as sixth Wednesday as Los Angeles begins a stretch of three home games.
