Mumbai police recovered two firearms and 10 live cartridges in Surat, Gujarat, as part of their investigation into the October 18 shooting at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Juhu, The Hindu reported. The weapons are undergoing forensic and ballistic testing.
Shroff escaped serious injury when assailants opened fire as he left a football ground. A video subsequently shared by his team showed small red marks on his arm that were described as pellet injuries. His driver and a bystander were also wounded.
Four accused were remanded to police custody until October 26, according to The Hindu. Separately, The Indian Express reported that three suspects accused of involvement in the conspiracy were placed in police custody until October 28. Earlier reporting said the investigation had led to 10 arrests by October 22, including suspects accused of procuring weapons and providing logistical support.
Police have named Anil Pandit, described as an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as a wanted suspect. Pandit purportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in an audio clip circulated online, alleging that Shroff was targeted because of his association with actor Salman Khan. Authorities are continuing to investigate the alleged conspiracy and supply route used to bring a pistol to Mumbai.
