Saudi-led coalition forces said they intercepted a new wave of missiles and drones launched by Yemen’s Houthis at targets across Saudi Arabia on Sunday and Monday.

On Sunday, air defences destroyed 10 ballistic missiles aimed at southern Saudi Arabia, a cruise missile targeting Khamis Mushait, and a ballistic missile and two drones headed toward Riyadh, according to coalition statements reported by CNBC and The National. Saudi authorities issued aerial-threat warnings in Riyadh, Abha and Khamis Mushait before later saying the danger had passed in the southern cities. The coalition also reported an interception in the Medina region.

The Houthis said they conducted seven operations against Saudi airports and energy facilities, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu. Saudi Aramco did not immediately comment. On Monday, the coalition said it intercepted another ballistic missile aimed at Riyadh and destroyed two missile launchers in Sanaa. The Houthis claimed the missile successfully struck the airport and said drones targeted oil pumping stations.

King Khalid International Airport resumed limited operations Sunday after closing following an Oct. 10 attack that killed at least 13 people and injured about 300. The Houthis renewed warnings against using the airport, calling it a military target.

India advised its nationals in Saudi Arabia not to film or publish information about interceptions or impact sites. Air India and Air India Express services to Riyadh and Dammam remain suspended through Nov. 7, while Jeddah suspensions are scheduled through Oct. 31.
