Apple will hold a product launch event titled “Pro and Tell” in Los Angeles on October 28, the company said Monday. The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern time and follows Apple’s smart-home product launch earlier in October.
Apple is expected to introduce new Mac computers, led by its first touchscreen MacBook Pro, according to Bloomberg News. The redesigned laptop is also expected to feature an OLED display, a lighter body and an iPhone-style Dynamic Island. Other anticipated products include a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iMac powered by Apple’s M6 chip.
Bloomberg also reported that Apple plans to unveil an updated iPad Mini with an OLED screen and a front-facing camera repositioned along the device’s landscape edge.
The October 28 presentation will be Apple’s latest hardware event under CEO John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook in September. It follows the company’s September launch of the foldable iPhone Duo and an October 13 event featuring the HomeView smart-home hub, an updated Apple TV 4K and a second-generation HomePod Mini.
