Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security federal prison in Pennsylvania, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons and news reports.
A person familiar with the transfer told the Associated Press that Combs, 56, had been moved after reports about alleged special treatment and an injury at Fort Dix. The Bureau of Prisons did not disclose the reason for the transfer, citing privacy, safety and security concerns.
TMZ reported that Combs suffered a head injury during a fight with another inmate and was taken outside the prison for treatment. Other outlets described the injury as non-life-threatening and said he was conscious and speaking. However, the Bureau of Prisons directly disputed the account, telling the AP that the reported incident was false and “did not happen.” Combs’ representative said his team was working to confirm the circumstances surrounding reports about his health.
NBC News previously reported allegations that Combs obtained alcohol and a contraband phone and paid other inmates to cook and clean for him. He was subsequently placed in a special housing unit and lost 41 days of good-conduct credit, according to the AP’s source, moving his projected release date to March 2, 2028.
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transporting people to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges and has appealed his conviction and sentence.
