Ghana Police Service officers arrested 41 people during an intelligence-led operation targeting suspected criminal and narcotics activity in the Lapaz and Chantan areas of Accra on October 15.
The 35 men and six women were detained after officers searched suspects and locations in the two areas, recovering quantities of dried leaves believed to be narcotic substances. Police said all 41 remained in custody while investigators worked to determine the source, ownership and intended use of the substances. Any suspects found culpable will face legal action, police said.
